Business impact

The number your board actually asks about.

Feed is roughly 70% of the cost of producing a broiler. Every tenth of a point of FCR is money — which is why we measure ourselves against it, in public, with the methodology attached.

The platform

Built for the way poultry actually runs.

Not a generic ERP with a poultry skin. Every module below exists because an operator told us what breaks at 6am in a shed with no signal.

Anomalies find you

Thresholds run against every house, every cycle, continuously. When house 14 drifts from its cohort, the supervisor knows while the intervention still works — not at the post-mortem.

Works with no signal

Entries queue on the device and reconcile when the shed gets a bar. Poultry houses are metal buildings in rural areas — an app that needs connectivity is an app that doesn't get used.

Placement to dispatch

Every bird traces to a batch, a feed lot, a medication record, and a buyer. One ledger, no reconciliation.

Audit-ready by default

Compliance reports generate from the same records your team already files. Nothing to assemble the week before an audit.

Permissions that fit

A supervisor sees their houses. A CFO sees the ledger. Nobody sees what they shouldn't, and every change is attributed.

Fits your stack

Tally, SAP, Excel, WhatsApp, and a documented API. Your data leaves as easily as it arrives — one click, full export.

ERP modules

Twelve modules. One system.

Not twelve products with a shared login. Every module below writes to the same ledger, so a feed batch in the mill lands in the flock's cost per bird without anyone re-keying it.

Aviary Intelligence

Ask your operation a question.

It reads the same ledger your team does — every flock, every batch, every invoice. Which is why it answers with a number and a source, not an opinion.

Aviary IntelligenceReading Cycle 2411 · live

Why is FCR slipping in House 07?

Feed intake rose 4% over the last six days while daily gain stayed flat — the birds are eating more per kilo of weight, not growing slower.

  • Intake up to 138 g/bird/day from 132 g on day 18.
  • Daily gain flat at 66 g/bird — no corresponding growth.
  • Three heat-advisory days since day 19; House 07 ran 2.4°C above the cohort at night.
  • Feed batch BF-03 assayed within spec — the feed is not the cause.

The shed has no signal. The app doesn't care.

Your supervisor records mortality at 06:00 inside a metal building in a village. Everything below works there — and syncs when they walk out.

Works with no signal

Entries are written locally and queued. The supervisor never waits for a bar of reception, and nothing is retyped later.

Crates are scanned at catch and again at dispatch. The invoice cannot disagree with the count, because nobody typed the count.

It has to live with what you already run.

Nobody replaces their accounting system to buy a poultry ERP. Aviary posts into the books, the BI model and the group ledger you already have — and reads the weighbridge directly.

Security & access

Ten years of production history. One wrong permission.

Your ERP holds every cost, contract and margin you have. So the answer to “is it secure” is not a badge — it is the audit trail, and the matrix of who can touch what.

Customer stories

Three operations. Three different problems.

None of them bought an ERP because they wanted software. Each had one number that was costing them money, and could only be seen six weeks late.

Meridian Poultry

42 houses · 3 hatcheriesContract broiler · single region
The problem
Mortality was reconciled at cycle close, six weeks after the fact. By the time a bad house showed up in a report, the birds were already sold.
What changed
Supervisors record at 06:00 on a phone with no signal. A cohort deviation now pages the ops head the same morning, and ventilation is raised before the second day of a heat wave.
1.651.54−0.11
Feed conversion ratio improved from 1.65 to 1.54, a change of −0.11. Mean FCR across 24 broiler cycles: 12 before deployment, 12 after. Same houses, same genetics, weather-normalised.

We did not buy software to see prettier charts. We bought six weeks of lead time on a number that decides whether the cycle makes money.

Operations head · 42 houses

Northfield Protein

310 houses · 11 hatcheriesIntegrated · breeder to processing
The problem
Eleven hatcheries and three feed mills each closed their own month. Group transfer pricing was a spreadsheet somebody rebuilt every quarter, and it never reconciled to the ledger.
What changed
Every facility posts to one ledger at the point of movement. Transfer pricing is applied when the batch moves, not reconstructed at month-end.
19 days4 days−15 days
Group close improved from 19 days to 4 days, a change of −15 days. Working days from period end to signed-off consolidated P&L, averaged over the last six closes versus the six before.

The close used to be an argument between eleven sites about whose number was right. Now it is a report somebody reads.

Group financial controller · 310 houses

Cygnet Agri

64 houses · 2 hatcheriesLayer · regional, 64 houses
The problem
Medication and vaccine stock lived in a register in the store. Nobody knew a line had run out until a schedule was already missed, and expired doses were written off at count.
What changed
Consumption is deducted the moment a supervisor records the entry. Reorder points are per-SKU per-store, and the indent raises itself.
9 / year0−9
Missed vaccination windows improved from 9 / year to 0, a change of −9. Scheduled doses not administered within the protocol window, counted from the health module. Trailing 12 months versus the prior 12.

A missed IBD window costs more than the year's licence. We have not missed one since the stock stopped living in a notebook.

Feed only — labour, mortality recovery and dispatch shrinkage are real and excluded. The measured FCR gain is 0.11 across 1,240 broiler cycles (2024 cohort, versus each operation’s own pre-deployment baseline); we credit 60% of it here, because the rest is agronomy and management you would plausibly have improved anyway.

Before you ask

The questions that actually stall this decision.

Not “is there a free trial”. These are the eight that come up in every procurement review, answered the way we answer them on the call.

Next step

Forty-five minutes, with your numbers in it.

Not a slide deck. We load your house count and model before the call, and spend the time on whether this actually fits your operation.

01

Your operation, on screen

Send your house count and model beforehand. We load it, so you are looking at your numbers rather than Meridian's.

02

The awkward part first

Migration of your history, your Tally setup, and the two things we do not do well. If there is a reason this won't work, 45 minutes is cheaper than month three.

03

What you leave with

A written implementation plan, a fixed per-house price, and the SOC 2 report under NDA. No follow-up required to get any of them.

Typically within three working days · no credit card · live in 30 days
